ACRO & TUMBLING
BEGINNING ACRO & TUMBLING
Tumbling is a combination of acrobatics and gymnastics. This class teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline, and concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique. Students will learn such things as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance, and contortion tricks. This class is great for students looking to enhance their agility, flexibility, and strength.
INTERMEDIATE ACRO & TUMBLING
This class is for students who have completed Beginning Acro & Tumbling or have been recommended to intermediate level by their teacher; OR, for students who can do the following: one-handed cartwheel, reach down to their bridge, and hold a handstand for 3 seconds.
The first half of the class is dedicated to strength, flexibility, and drills while the last half will focus on growing tumbling skills such as walkovers, front and back handsprings, and aerials.
Students should wear comfortable clothing they can move in, such as a leotard, and they must have their hair pulled back. Bare feet is required.
ADVANCED ACRO & TUMBLING
Advanced Acro is for students who have already achieved a back hand spring and an aerial as well as being proficient in other intermediate tumbling skills.
Students will focus on acro yoga, occasionally partner yoga, tumbling technique, strength conditioning, strong round-offs. They will also work on connecting tumbling tricks and skills & drills for aerials, handsprings and flipping.
STRETCH & STRENGTH
This class is mixture of strength training, cardio, and deep stretching specifically designed towards helping dancers reach their goals.
